The 2017 market will run from 4pm to Dusk, every Thursday from July 6th into September as long as the weather & crops permit.
The registration fees will remain the same as last year:
– The price to set up for a single market is $10
– If you’d like to commit to a month, the discounted price is $30 for 4 weeks (save $10)
Please note that the month rate must be paid in one installment, at the beginning of the month.
Each vendor is allowed a 10×10 space, and is responsible for bringing the following items if desired: tables, chairs, E-Z Up tent or umbrella, signage, bags or other suitable packaging, scales, and display material. Set up time is from 3:00-3:45pm. Please also remember to bag your trash and leave your area free of debris. Please note that any hot food vendors will need to bring a K-grade fire extinguisher & any tents used must be flame retardant.
Items permitted at the Market include, but are not limited to: fresh fruits and vegetables, garden and houseplants, cut flowers, decorative gourds, jams, pies, breads, cakes, cookies, crafts, quilts, woodwork items, jewelry, pottery, paintings, etc.
Please remember that anything you sell has to be homegrown or at least 50% handmade!
Any vendor involved in a dispute that results in obscene language, or threatening comments is subject to suspension at the discretion of the Wood River Parks & Recreation Department. Any vendor involved in a fight or physical confrontation with another vendor or patron will be ejected from the market and will receive a minimum of one night suspension for the following week. The Wood River Park & Recreation Department has the authority to lengthen the suspension.
Wood River Farmers’ Market will be working with WIC this season. If you would like to become a part of this program please call Stacy Rongey at 618-877-3433.
Thank you very much for your participation & support, we believe that 2016 will be the best season yet – please spread the word to other farmers & artists!
